Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Garden of Memories with the Rev. Roger Weeks, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Kianna was born July 9 at Childress. Survivors include her parents; three sisters, Treba Lindsey of Altus, Okla., and Jerominique Lindsey and TaQuirea Lindsey, both of Hollis, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Maxine McGuire of Paducah and Marvin Cox of Houston; paternal grandparents, Willie and Lucy Lindsey of Hollis, Okla. W.J. Crawford TULIA - W.J. Crawford, 70, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Central Church of Christ with Trey Morgan, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford was born in Spearman and his family moved to Swisher County when he was an infant. He attended schools in Lakeview, Kaffur and Tulia. He was a farmer and a Church of Christ member. He married Jewel Andrus in 1949 at Tulia. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Crawford. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Allen Crawford of Elkhart, Kan., Greg Crawford of Coldwater, Mich., and Lynn Crawford of Harrison, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Amarillo Children's Home; New Mexico Children's Home; or a favorite charity. Gola Bierwirth WELLINGTON - Gola "Nina" Bierwirth, 94, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Jon Forrest, minister of Woodland Christian Church in Timpson, and Roy Barringer, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery in Childress by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mrs. Bierwirth was born in Garfield, Ky., and moved to Childress as a young girl. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. From Childress, she moved to Wellington in 1987 where she was a member of First Christian Church. She was a homemaker. She married Theodore Bierwirth in 1940 at Childress. He died in 1982. Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Poteet of Wellington, Helen Pryor of Houston and Thelma Hudson of Whitney; five grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church or the Wellington Cemetery Association. Cleo Emerson Russell CLARENDON - Cleo Emerson Russell, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with the Rev. James Ivey Edwards, pastor, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. Mr. Russell was born in McLean and, except for 1945 until 1978 when in Ohio, he spent his life in Clarendon. He was a retired sheetmetal layout master and woodworker. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Russell was a member of Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7782, past master of Clarendon Masonic Lodge No. 700, Amarillo Commandery No. 48 and Hedley Order of Eastern Star Chapter 413. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clarendon. In Ohio, he was a member of Westgate Lodge No. 623, Westgate Council No. 129 and Westgate Chapter 216. He married Charlene Bauman in 1946 at Columbus, Ohio. She died in 1957. Survivors include a daughter, Jewel Gallon of Carrollton, Ohio; a sister, Louise Butler of Reseda, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Geneva Lemons MULESHOE - Geneva Lemons, 73, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Private services are planned for a later date at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Lemons was born in Frederick, Okla., and moved to Muleshoe from Paducah in 1949. From 1948 until 1978, she and her husband owned and operated Murray's Jewelry in Muleshoe. She married Murray Lemons in 1946 at Lovington, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a son, Tom Lemons of Dallas; two daughters, Joan Pardonnet of Augres, Mich., and Jan Jones of Lubbock; two sisters, Erma Boback of Kansas City, Mo., and Nina Lytle of Las Cruces, N.M.; eight grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to St. Jude's Children's Hospital; or Vista Care Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Rd., Plainview, TX 79072. Rebecca Garvin Jones PADUCAH - Rebecca Garvin Jones, 34, of Columbus, Miss., died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church in Paducah with the Rev. Roy C. Keith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cee Vee Cemetery in Cee Vee by Siegler Funeral Home of Paducah. Mrs. Jones was born in Lubbock and was a former resident of Paducah where she graduated from high school in 1983. She was employed as a child care consultant for United Methodist Ministries in Columbus. Survivors include her husband, David Jones of Columbus; two sons, Matt Jones and Luke Jones, both of Columbus; her parents, Phillip Garvin of Monticello, Ark., and Barbara Ivey Garvin of Lubbock; and two brothers, Phillip Garvin Jr. of Monticello and Scott Garvin of Lubbock. Leo Ross Bryant OLTON - Leo Ross Bryant, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman Patton officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Olton. Mr. Bryant was born in Muncy and moved to Olton in 1925 from Lockney. He was a farmer and International Harvester dealer. He also was a Baptist. He married Lucille Willis in 1942 at Olton. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Alice Ross Slater of Arden, N.C., and Tanya Meixner of Lubbock; three sisters, Juanita McGill and Jolene Chitwood, both of Olton, and Ouida Eichhorn of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Vista Care Hospice or Running Water Draw Care Center of Olton. Mary J. Cornelius SPEARMAN - Mary J. Cornelius, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hansford Cemetery with the Rev. Beverly Cook officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mrs. Cornelius was born in Oil City, Pa., and had lived in this area for 43 years. In 1938, she graduated from Syracuse University with the highest grade point average reported. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Mrs. Cornelius was active in the Republican Party and volunteered as a Pink Lady. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spearman. She married Henry Cornelius in 1939 at Erie, Pa. She was preceded in death by a son, Maj. Samuel B. Cornelius, in 1973. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Adele Rumley of Abilene; a son, Edwin J. Cornelius of Galveston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Presbyterian Church of Spearman. Joyce Harper SPEARMAN - Joyce Harper, 64, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Curry officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers of Spearman. Mrs. Harper was born in Fairfield, Ill., and moved to Spearman in 1956 from Carmi, Ill. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spearman. She married Carroll Harper in 1952 at Pocahontas, Ark. He died in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Carla Harper of Weston, Fla., and Kelly Armes of Gruver; two sons, Tim Harper of Perryton and Tony Harper of Amarillo; a brother, Bob Garrett of Goreville, Ill.; and nine grandchildren. Helen Scott Dickson SPEARMAN - Helen Scott Dickson, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Apostolic Faith Church with the Rev. Marcus Adair and the Rev. Ed Owens officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sharman Cemetery, Columbia County, Ark., by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mrs. Dickson moved to Spearman from Houston in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church. She married E.W. Dickson in 1965 at Magnolia, Ark. He died in 1998. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Scott. Survivors include a son, Bob Scott of Bella Vista, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Myra Berner of Mills, N.M.; a stepson, Weldon Dickson of DeSoto; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice of Spearman. Amarillo Connie Weatherly Aichlmayr Connie Weatherly Aichlmayr, 77, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Aichlmayr was born in Texhoma and had lived in Amarillo since early childhood. A homemaker, she graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College. She was a Baptist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe N. Aichlmayr, in 1984. Survivors include three stepsons, Glenn Aichlmayr and Leon Aichlmayr, both of California, and Kenneth Aichlmayr of Colorado; a stepdaughter, Genevieve Holloway of Colorado; a niece, Jackie Essary of Amarillo; and eight step-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, TX 79109. Alline Wade Alline Wade, 81, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center, Brownwood, with Dr. Jack Smith, Baptist minister in Brownwood, officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Wade was born in Ebony in Mills County and moved to Amarillo two years ago. For many years, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Brownwood. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Canyon. She married Alfred Norval Wade in 1938 at Brown County. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Ronald N. Wade of Apple Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Dr. Patricia Wiles of Amarillo and Joanna Wade of Columbia, Md.; a sister, Joyce Allen of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Vida Edna Brittain Finch Vida Edna Brittain Finch, 88, of Claude, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Okla. Mrs. Finch was born in Bugtussle, Okla., and moved to Claude in 1988 from Dewar, Okla. A homemaker, she was a member of the Pentecostal church and the Rebekah Lodge of Dewar. Her first marriage was to Ernest Theodore Brittain in 1927 at Okmulgee, Okla. Her second marriage was to Troy B. Finch in 1982 at Dewar. She was preceded in death by Mr. Brittain in 1974, Mr. Finch in 1988 and a son, Ronald Dean Brittain, in 1992. Survivors include four sons, Dwane Brittain of Cypress, Leo Brittain of Wichita Falls, Donald Brittain of Claude and Tom Finch of Henryetta; five daughters, Ruth Richardson of Claude, Trudy Mordecai of Henryetta and Tony Griffin, Faye Prince and Judy McLain, all of Bixby, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Palo Duro Nursing Home of Claude. Elsewhere Josiah Martin Daniel Jr. CORSICANA - Josiah "Joe" Martin Daniel Jr., 75, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Houston. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ed Nettleton of Lake City, Colo., and the Rev. Ed Baggett of Corsicana officiating. Burial will be in Kerens Cemetery at Kerens. Mr. Daniel was born in Kerens. He was a 1942 graduate of Corsicana High School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering. He was an Eagle Scout. During World War II, he served in the Naval Air Corps with the rank of lieutenant (h.g.) He was a retired oil and gas industry executive in Austin. He was a longtime member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. He was employed by Texaco from 1949 to 1957 and by Cabot Corp. in Pampa for the remainder of his career. He married Peggy Glover in 1946 at Pecos. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Preston Daniel of Atlanta, Ga., and Josiah M. Daniel III of Dallas; and four grandchildren.
