But when I have thought back to that comment, I find it revealing that he felt the need to let me know that. Only someone wanting to assert power would make such a comment. It was a fairly innocuous attempt at letting me know that he was in charge of things... but some subsequent behaviour revealed that he had a pretty serious sense of grandiosity. Perhaps people feel a loss of control if they feel that you know things about them?
